Aluminum in Deodorant Linked to Breast Cancer in New Studies -

Aluminum in Deodorant Linked to Breast Cancer in New Studies -

A recent study published in the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry found increased levels of aluminum in non-invasively collected nipple aspirate fluids from 19 breast cancer patients(1). These patients were compared with 16 healthy control subjects.
In addition to emerging evidence, our results support the possible involvement of aluminum ions in oxidative and inflammatory status perturbations of breast cancer microenvironment, suggesting aluminum accumulation in breast microenvironment as a possible risk factor for oxidative/inflammatory phenotype of breast cells (1).
The study also found that Aluminium content and carbonyl levels showed a significant positive linear correlation(1). Studies have already confirmed that plasma levels of protein carbonyls greatly increase the risk of breast cancer (2). It doesn’t stop there, the study also found a significantly increased level of pro-inflammatory cytokines(1), many studies have also confirmed that this type of inflammation correlates with increased invasiveness and poor prognosis in many types of cancer, including breast cancer (3).
In 12 invasive cancer nipple aspirate fluid samples we found a significant positive linear correlation among aluminum, carbonyls and pro-inflammatory monocyte chemoattractant cytokine(1).
The main point to take away from this research is the fact that common food ingestion (food additive), injection (as a vaccine adjuvant) and topical application (antiperspirant) and other forms of aluminum intake may be contributing to the increased cancer epidemic in the exposed population on the planet today. It doesn’t sound right does it? Most peoples intuition, heart and soul will not resonate with aluminum intake into their bodies, regardless if any studies have been done or not.

Another recent study conducted last year determined that aluminum salts used as antiperspirants have been incriminated as contributing to breast cancer incidence in Western societies (4). Another study conducted the year before that outlined how aluminum is not a physiological component of the breast but has been measured recently in human breast tissues and breast cyst fluids at levels above those found in blood serum or milk (5).

I could go on and continue citing study after study on the damaging affects of antiperspirants, if you’re interested you can find more studies here. I think most who read this will not need a study to know that aluminum can be very hazardous to human health, it’s one of those things our intuition knows immediately, but it’s always good to get the information out there.

You might also be interested to know that a new study released by the University of California, Berkeley (UBC) School of Public Health has found many conventional lipstick products to contain dangerously high levels of aluminum, cadmium, lead and other toxins. Researchers tested over 30 popular lipstick products and found this to be the case. The study was published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives. Even women using minimal amounts of product still increase their risk of developing harmful health conditions like nerve damage and cancer by an alarming amount. It is important to note that there is no oversight or limit on chemical additives into cosmetic care products.

Public masturbation not a crime: Swedish court... -

Public masturbation not a crime: Swedish court... -

The incident occurred on June 6th at the Drevviken beach when the man removed his shorts and began masturbating close to the water. He was subsequently charged with sexual assault.

The Södertörn District Court has now acquitted the 65-year old in a judgement which stated that it "may be proven that the man exposed himself and masturbated on this occasion".

However, the court added that no offence had been committed as the masturbating man was not pleasuring himself towards a specific person.

Public prosecutor Olof Vrethammar told the Mitti newspaper that he wasn't planning to appeal the ruling.

"For this to be a criminal offence it's required that the sexual molestation was directed towards one or more people. I think the court's judgement is reasonable," he said.

When asked if it was now acceptable to masturbate in public if you don't direct it towards a specific individual the prosecutor said it was "okay."

"The district court has made a judgement on this case. With that we can conclude that it is okay to masturbate on the beach. The act may be considered to be disorderly conduct."

In another recent judgement a 15-year-old boy was acquitted after being previously charged with sexual assault. The teen had thrown his underwear into a lake and stood naked in front of two under-age girls.

The Södertörn District Court said that his behaviour did not have a sexual undertone and the charge was dismissed. Both the girls had requested the boy be charged with molestation.

Sugar is 'addictive and the most dangerous drug of the times' - a senior Dutch health official has warned -

Sugar is 'addictive and the most dangerous drug of the times' - a senior Dutch health official has warned -

Paul van der Velpen, the head of Amsterdam's health service, the Dutch capital city where the sale of cannabis is legalised, wants to see sugar tightly regulated.
"Just like alcohol and tobacco, sugar is actually a drug. There is an important role for government. The use of sugar should be discouraged. And users should be made aware of the dangers," he wrote on an official public health website.
"This may seem exaggerated and far-fetched, but sugar is the most dangerous drug of the times and can still be easily acquired everywhere."
Mr Van der Velpen cites research claiming that sugar, unlike fat or other foods, interferes with the body's appetite creating an insatiable desire to carry on eating, an effect he accuses the food industry of using to increase consumption of their products.
"Sugar upsets that mechanism. Whoever uses sugar wants more and more, even when they are no longer hungry. Give someone eggs and he'll stop eating at any given time. Give him cookies and he eats on even though his stomach is painful," he argued.

"Sugar is actually a form of addiction. It's just as hard to get rid of the urge for sweet foods as of smoking. Thereby diets only work temporarily. Addiction therapy is better."
The senior health official wants to see sugar taxes and legal limits set on the amount that can added to processed food. He also wants cigarette-style warnings on sweets and soft drinks telling consumers that "sugar is addictive and bad for the health".
"Health insurers should have to finance addiction therapy for their obese clients. Schools would no longer be allowed to sell sweets and soft drinks. Producers of sports drinks that are bursting with sugar should be sued over misleading advertising and so on," he said.
The number of obese people in the Netherlands has doubled over the last two decades meaning that more than half of Dutch adults and one in seven children are overweight in a country famed for its deep fried croquettes.

Australian Wild Pig Drinks 18 Beers, Gets in Fight with Cow -

Australian Wild Pig Drinks 18 Beers, Gets in Fight with Cow -

A feral pig ransacked a campsite and drank at least 18 cans cans of beer before getting into an altercation with a cow in Australia.
The incident, which happened in a remote area of Western Australia at the DeGray River rest area, prompted officials to warn campers to keep their food and alcohol secure.
The wild pig was seen around the campsite for several days last week, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported, citing officials who said the animal got into multiple six-packs of beer over the course of a few days.

Fionna Findley, from the government highway division Main Roads, told ABC that the people camping overnight at the rest area said that "the pig stole their beers, drank them and then afterwards proceeded to tear apart the bin liners."
"We just want to remind everyone when you do pull over, make sure [your food and alcohol] is securely stored because there are a lot of animals out there that are keen for a free feed."
One camper who reportedly spoke with the affected campers told ABC that the pig got into 18 beers, ransacked the campsite's garbage bins and got into a fight with a cow.
The camper, who was only identified as Merida, said "there was some other people camped right on the river and they saw him running around their vehicle being chased by a cow.
"It was going around and around and then it went into the river and swam across to the middle of the river."
Findley told ABC that that her crews are not equipped to deal with wild pigs, especially if they are drunk.
The pig was last seen lying beneath a tree, potentially nursing a hangover.
In the remote regions of Western Australia, feral pigs are seen an invasive pest because of the diseases they carry, which can infect livestock, The Guardian reported.

Obama waives ban on arming terrorists to allow aid to Syrian opposition -

Obama waives ban on arming terrorists to allow aid to Syrian opposition -

President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to "vetted" opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

Some elements of the Syrian opposition are associated with radical Islamic terrorist groups, including al Qaeda, which was responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pa., in 2001. Assad's regime is backed by Iran and Hezbollah.

The president, citing his authority under the Arms Export Control Act, announced today that he would "waive the prohibitions in sections 40 and 40A of the AECA related to such a transaction."

Those two sections prohibit sending weaponry to countries described in section 40(d): "The prohibitions contained in this section apply with respect to a country if the Secretary of State determines that the government of that country has repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism," Congress stated in the Arms Control Export Act.

"For purposes of this subsection, such acts shall include all activities that the Secretary determines willfully aid or abet the international proliferation of nuclear explosive devices to individuals or groups or willfully aid or abet an individual or groups in acquiring unsafeguarded special nuclear material," the law continues.

The law allows the president to waive those prohibitions if he "determines that the transaction is essential to the national security interests of the United States."
