Teddy Bear

For the fourth time in the past two years, a Cincinnati man has been arrested for masturbating in public with the aid of a teddy bear, records show.

Charles Marshall, 28, was arrested Wednesday evening after employees at a health clinic spotted him pleasuring himself in an alley. Marshall, pictured in the adjacent mug shot, was cited for disorderly conduct.

Municipal Court records show that Marshall has already been convicted three times of engaging in public indecency/disorderly conduct with a teddy bear. The misdemeanor counts resulted in short jail sentences and small fines for Marshall.

Marshall was first busted in February 2010 when witnesses spotted him engaged “with a teddy bear in mens bathroom” at a public library (which prompted a judge to order him to “stay away all Hamilton Co. public libraries”).

He was again arrested in November 2010 and August 2011 for “masturbating w/a stuffed animal (teddy bear)” and “masturbating using a teddy bear in a public place where minors were likely to be present.”

It is unclear whether cops this week seized Marshall's teddy bear (or even if they would want to). If so, fellow Cincinnatians should look for him at an area Toys "R" Us.

Author "Kindness in America" / victim of drive-by shooting has confessed to shooting himself -

Author "Kindness in America" / victim of drive-by shooting has confessed to shooting himself -

West Virginia man Ray Dolin admitted last night to shooting himself in the arm earlier this week and making up the story about being shot by a stranger, ABC News reports.

The aspiring author was travelling across the US allegedly doing research for his book.

Police believe Dolin, who is recovering in hospital, shot himself in a desperate act of self-promotion but have offered no further details.

Dolin claimed he was hitchhiking along a rural Montana highway on Saturday when the driver of a ute randomly pulled over and shot him in the upper arm.

After a major manhunt, authorities arrested a 52-year-old man, Lloyd Christopher Danielson III, over the shooting and charged him with felony assault.

The charges were later dropped and the investigation turned towards Dolin who may now face charges himself.

Valley County Sheriff Glen Meier told ABC News the hoax stretched the police force's limited resources.

“I have no idea how much it cost us, but, it’s going to come to a lot of money,” he said.

Emergency hypnotist called in to undo damage after high school show -

Emergency hypnotist called in to undo damage after high school show -

It was an end-of-year school activity featuring a hypnotism show — and it didn’t go quite as planned.

A Quebec high school says the activity went awry when several students suffered difficulties after the show, including one girl who remained stuck in a trance.

A spokesman says the incident occurred late last week at College du Sacre-Coeur in Sherbrooke during a lunchtime end-of-year event.

At least five students appeared to experience trouble after the show by the 20-year-old hypnotist. A report says one student was stuck in a trance for up to five hours.

School administrators had to call in the hypnotist’s mentor, who came to help deal with the problem.

The school says it had no idea that such a show could have those side effects. The school plans to hold a news conference next week to update reporters and families on the incident.
